Conjunto legends Los Dos Gilbertos and the popular Regional Mexican powerhouse Erick y Grupo Massore, along with Infinito, Escorpion de Hidalgo and Los Viciosos will also perform at the Fiesta Center in Lubbock
Dimmitt, Texas – For 35 years, Los Arcos Hermanos Peña have enjoyed entertaining fans all over the United States. To celebrate this milestone, the band is planning a big celebration on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at the Fiesta Center in Lubbock. The event will also feature special performances by Los Dos Gilbertos as well as Erick y Grupo Massore, Infinito, Escorpion de Hidalgo, and Los Viciosos.
Los Arcos Hermanos Peña includes members Jerry Peña (accordion), Luis Peña Jr. (bajo sexto), Larry Peña (saxophone), Gilbert Peña (bass), Fidencio Peña (drums), and vocalists Oscar Peña and Luis Peña III. The family band from Dimmitt has built their success on hard work and extraordinary talent, and the guys have had the honor of playing alongside Conjunto, Tejano and Norteño legends at festivals and other events. Their extensive catalog dates back to 1979 and includes studio work with the legendary Cornelio Reyna.
Edinburg-based Los Dos Gilbertos, featuring masters Gilberto Garcia on accordion and Ruben Garza on bajo sexto, are considered by many to be one of the very best conjunto groups ever to take the stage. With careers spanning nearly 50 years, they continue to enjoy massive popularity and travel all over the state and beyond.
Erick y Grupo Massore is a red-hot family band, formed by Sanchez brothers from Coahuila, Mexico in the mid-1990s with brother Erick on timbales and lead vocals. While generally considered Regional Mexican artists, the group scored a big hit with cumbia-loving Tejano fans in 2010 with their single “La Inconforme.” Since then, the group has been a mainstay at festivals and events all over Texas and the United States, with fans loving their youthful energy, hot beats and infectious rhythms.
Also performing will be Infinito, Escorpion de Hildalgo and Los Viciosos.
The event will take place Saturday, June 21, 2014 at the Fiesta Center, 1902 E. 4th Street, Lubbock, Texas. Music begins at 7 p.m. Cover charge is $25 between 6 and 8 p.m., and $35 after 8 p.m. All ages welcome.
